Power of Now

Jesus stated how we were capable of all He did and more. This is possible due to our oneness with God. The faith is in God, not ourselves. There is no self, only God. To have faith in oneself is to put faith in God.

The mess we are in is due to believing it is us who caused the result. If we caused the result, then what need is there for God? Tolle talks about Being here now. If you are now, you have the utmost faith in God.

People who are in their heads, wishing it was like the past, are lacking faith in God. They don't have faith in themselves nor in God that they are where they should be at that moment. The same goes for people worried about the future. If you are worrying about the future, you are lacking faith in yourself; and therefore, God. You lack faith that you will arrive without a hitch.

Let's take Peter and Jesus during the "walking on water" incident. Jesus is walking on water and invites Peter out to join him. With faith in himself, which is faith in God, he walks on water. As soon as Peter thinks about the past, people not being able to walk on water, or he thinks about the future, drowning in said water, he begins to sink. He took himself out of the now, lost his focus, lost his faith.

If you walk through life, in the ever-present moment that is right now, you are surrendering to a complete faith in God and nothing can go wrong. When you begin to worry about outcomes, you are lacking faith. Since you are one with God and co-create along side using your thoughts and passions, you draw results parallel to your faith or lack thereof.

If Savior means a perfect example of how to lead your life, then yes, Jesus is my Savior.
